HP Envy 14 Spectre 
HP unveiled its very first Ultrabook at CES 2012, calling it the HP Envy 14 Spectre. The company has joined the Ultrabook bandwagon, and such companies and Lenovo, Acer, Asus, Toshiba and Samsung. The first HP Envy 14 Spectre is expected to start shipping in the U.S. by February 8, with an MSRP of $1,399.99 for the base configuration – the rest of teh world will see it by March.




The 14-inch HP Envy 14 Spectre weighs 1.7 kgs, and comes with special scratch-resistant glass coating for its lid, palm rest and screen. It has a 14-inch 1600x900 pixel resolution display. Specifications of the HP Envy 14 Spectre include: Intel Core i5-2467M processor, 4GB of RAM, a 128GB SSD (with an optional second 128GB SSD), 9 hour battery life, Gigabit Ethernet, USB 3.0, HDMI and Mini DisplayPort. Unique connectivity options include Intel WiDi, wireless audio, and NFC.
Other features include pre-installed Norton Internet Security with 2 years subscription, as well as Adobe Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements. Also available are such signature HP technologies as HP CoolSense, HP ImagePad, and HP TrueVision HD webcam.
